Adelaide Lightning is proud to announce the return of THINK! Road Safety Partnerships Program as a key partner for the 2025/26 WNBL season. The renewed partnership, through the Department for Infrastructure and Transport, reflects the ongoing commitment to promoting safe behaviours on the road ensuring the wellbeing of players, staff, and fans is front of mind.

The THINK! Road Safety Partnerships Program plays a vital role in delivering impactful educational messages that resonate with the Adelaide Lightning community. By reinforcing safe driving behaviours at every home game, this partnership reaches our community across the state.

Jon Whelan, Chief Executive from the Department for Infrastructure and Transport said the renewed partnership with the Lightning demonstrates the power of sport from a community engagement and safety perspective:

It is great to have the Adelaide Lightning joining us once again to share road safety messages to fans, players, families and the wider community.”

“This collaboration is a way to reinforce the importance of road safety and encourage safer driving behaviour, especially when travelling to games and back home.”

“Engaging with the community through partnerships like these is critical in helping reducing lives lost on our roads.”

As part of the partnership, the Adelaide Lightning will host a dedicated THINK! Road Safety Round on Saturday 9 November, including fun activations and initiatives to build awareness about safe road behaviours.

Adelaide Lightning CEO, Melanie MacGillivray, said the club was delighted to continue their partnership with THINK! Road Safety Partnerships Program:

“THINK! Road Safety are a vital voice in our community. We are proud to embed their important message in our season. Their ongoing support not only strengthens our club but also makes a real-world impact to the safety and wellbeing of our community.”
