The Adelaide Lightning is thrilled to announce that Tayla Brazel has re-signed with the
club ahead of the WNBL27 season, committing to two more year in lavender.
The South Australian product had a standout campaign last season, establishing
herself as a key contributor and a crowd favourite at the South Australian State
Basketball Centre. Her decision to recommit to the Lightning is a major boost for a club
building with purpose and intent under new Head Coach Aja Parham-Ammar.
Brazel, who has developed significantly through her time with the Lightning, said she
couldn't be more ready to get back to work.
"There's nowhere else I'd rather be. Adelaide is home, and this club feels like family.
Last season gave me so much confidence and I'm hungry to come back even better. I
can’t wait to get back onto the court and show what we can all do together.”
General Manager of Basketball Tess Madgen said Brazel's recommitment reflects the
club's ongoing focus on keeping South Australian talent at home.
"Keeping South Australian players at the Lightning is something we're deeply proud of.
Tayla had a fantastic season and her development has been exciting to watch. She's a
player our community can connect with and get behind and we're so glad she's staying
home."
With Brazel joining a roster anchored by Steph Talbot and Dallas Loughridge, the
Lightning are shaping up as one of the most cohesive and exciting squads heading into
WNBL27.
