Adelaide Lightning guard Serena Sundell will miss the remainder of the WNBL26 season after scans confirmed the extent of a knee injury suffered during Sunday’s game against the Sydney Flames.
Serena was injured early in the 4th quarter of the Lightning’s home game at the State Basketball Centre on Sunday.
Scans have since confirmed the 22-year-old has suffered an ACL rupture.
Supported by teammates, friends and family, a timeline for her to return to the court will not be set until further medical advice is provided to determine the next steps around the management of the injury.
