The Adelaide Lightning continued their positive run against the Sydney Flames, securing a composed 76–65 victory on Tuesday night in front of a lively School Holiday crowd at the SA State Basketball Centre.

Fuelled by the energy inside the Spark House, Adelaide set the tone defensively from the outset and built control through the middle quarters. The Lightning disrupted Sydney’s offensive flow, won key contests on the glass, and executed efficiently in transition to create separation on the scoreboard.

Leaders Stephanie Talbot and Dallas Loughridge both finished with 19 points, and were well supported by Sania Feagin, Tayla Brazel and Ashlee Strawbridge, who recorded a career-high nine points on a perfect 3-of-3 shooting from beyond the arc.

Sydney pushed late, but Adelaide remained composed down the stretch, closing out the contest with disciplined defence and smart decision-making. The win rewards another strong home showing and reinforces the Lightning’s growth and hard work throughout the season.

Both teams will now join the rest of the WNBL in Perth for Hoops Fest, where the Lightning will take on the Southside Melbourne Flyers on Saturday afternoon.

Following the festival matchup, Adelaide returns home to the Spark House to protect home court against the Canberra Capitals next Tuesday night, 20 January. The School Holiday Boredom Buster Special continues — $32 family passes and $10 tickets. Don’t miss out, book now  and be part of the action!
