The Lightning will be looking to close out their 4th game in 10 Days with a Win over the ladder leading Townsville Fire who dealt them a 34-point loss at the Fire Pit in game 1 of 4. Adelaide will have momentum on their side following Friday nights OT win over the Geelong Venom as well as their electric home crowd behind them at the Spark House.

Captain Steph Talbot in the post-game press conference acknowledged the power of the Lightning Fans,  “The atmosphere in here is amazing, the fans continue to keep showing up and we need them to keep showing up. Townsville are an amazing team, we played them just last week and we went with them for two quarters and couldn’t quite put four quarters together. So we need the fans to support us, help us put four quarters together and really take it to the top team at the moment”.

Talbot, Feagin and Loughridge combined for 73 of the Lightnings 99 points in Friday night’s win over the Venom and will need to be at their best against the Fire power of Fowler, Woods, and Sowah.  Alex Fowler was on a heater last time they met, 7 from 7 Two point shot attempts, 3 from 3 the Free Throw line and missing her single 3-point attempt. (17 points, 6 assists, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals).

Led by South Australians Shannon Seebohm (Head Coach) and Marcus Wong (Lead Assistant Coach), the Fire will also be feeling confident coming off a true team performance. All 11 players hitting the court and 10 out of the 11 contributed to the 101 – 61 scoreline against the UC Caps on Saturday night. Not a surprising the club announced the day prior they had secured Coach Seebohm’s services until the end of WNBL29 season. With the signing of a new three-year-deal, Shannon and the team can focus on the future that no doubt includes another Championship run.
